This is a Monroe County park specifically set aside to preserve wetlands and forests for the local fauna.

For hiking or birding, this park has three main trails that are well kept and several other wilder trails. The trails traverse woods and fields and edge along the ponds. You can get a nice variety of terrain for bird watching.

The park has parking areas well placed at the three main loops and has restroom facilities there as well. Two shelters and a lodge are available for scheduled use (plus fee). And picnic tables with grill stands dot some of the fields near the parking areas.

to get there:
several routes are available; this route is from Rochester....
I-490 west to I-390. go north on I-390 to the Ridgeway Avenue exit. go west on Ridgeway for 5 miles and connect to ELmgrove Road. Go north a short distance on Elmgrove Road and see the park signs.
