The ancient site of the Mayan ruins is at about 1-2 KM at walking distance from the town Copan Ruins. From our hotel Patty at the eastern edge of the town we walked further eastwards out of town in the direction of the ruins early morning.

It was a lovely walk at a footpath along the road. On your way to the ruins we saw allready the first stela along the road. Also the walk back to the town around midday was ok, because the footpath was partly shady. There were some lovely flowering trees.
