A tradition for 50 years, local artists display their creations in Kapiolani Park on the Honolulu Zoo fence each Saturday and Sunday from 9am-4pm. While many artists hang their paintings/photos on the zoo fence, others hang them on peg board stands in areas of the fence that are covered with shrubery. It's a great place to browse in the shade of the ancient trees of the park and to talk to the artists who are all very friendly and happy to talk about their artwork, the weather, or local politics.
What to buy: Original paintings, photographs, mostly with a Hawaiian theme.
