"Women of World War II Memorial" London Off The Beaten Path Tip by iwys

London Off The Beaten Path: 1,703 reviews and 3,058 photos

The Women of World War II Memorial was unveiled by the Queen on 9th July, 2005. The 22ft-high bronze sculpture by John Mills depicts 17 sets of women's uniforms and work clothes as worn by British women from 1939 to 1945.

It stands next to the Cenotaph in Whitehall and is one of my favourite modern sculptures in London.
