"TWELVE APOSTLES" Cape Town Things to Do Tip by mtncorg
Cape Town Things to Do: 1,213 reviews and 2,163 photos
This is the name of the chain of peaks facing the Atlantic above Camps Bay. The 12 Apostles are a southward extension of Table Mountain and are comprised of several buttresses punctuated by steep ravines - several of which sport steep trails. It is possible to walk the crest of the Apostles from the top of Table Mountain to their southern end at Llandudno/Hout Bay, though sections of the trail on that end get very exposed and are considered potentially dangerous. Easiest trails to the top of the Apostles include the Kasteelpoort, Woody Ravine and Corridor Ravine trails, all of which come up from the Pipe Track trail which contours at about the 300 meter level - easiest access is from Kloof Nek though there are a few other options coming up from Camps Bay, too.
