Islamic Theological School : Constructed by Sakir Pasha the Egyptian in the 19th century. Those times, Sinasos was commonly populated by Greeks families ; therefore i guess Ottoman authorities wanted to make sure that ‘few’ Ottoman children will remain ‘muslims’.But to me , what Izmir is to Turkey , Sinasos is to Cappadocia : Sinasos definately smells quite Greek
Camii Kebir (Mosque) : At first sight , you spot the four-minaret centered on the top which provides a complimentary combination of Seljuk-style is very Seljuk- and Ottoman architecture.Mosque dated back to 17th century.
Church of Constantine and Helena : Dated back to second half of the 19th centuryLocated right in the centre of Sinasos. It was probably the centre church in the town that seramonies used to be held before Greeks had to leave…As a deep note ; Ayos Vasilios Church is the ‘oldest-constructed’’ one that the last ‘service’ was held in 1901. In other words , Greeks had a deep respect towards old churches that were constructed in the area but did not really use those followinng the later stages of their presence in Anatolia, but protected as good as they can.
