If you like the wine you had at the wineries with your meal – or without meal, you can of course buy them directly from the winery ! Just ask and the people will bring you the pricelist. You can also just go to one of the wineries and sample and buy then (without having eaten there).

For now (April 2007, my first visit here) I can only judge about Weingut Prinz, the one I had dinner at. I didn’t have wine with my meal, as I had to drive 100 km back home, but I asked if I could try some wines and take my pick back home. Of course I could and so the winemaker Christian Prinz went through the list to find out what I would like to try. As I like my wine quite dry (and usually prefer red), he convinced me to try some typical Palatine wine, let me try two types, of which I finally choose the so-called Gutsriesling, a white dry wine, their house wine, for 3,40 € per litre bottle.

What to buy: Check their pricelist, unfortunately only in German. They have all kinds of wine available, white and red, and specialities, such as Trockenbeerenauslese (LEO told me that this word is understood by non-German wine drinkers) and also grape seed oil.
And they also offer spirits (my god, isn't there a proper English name for Edelbranntwein?)

Prices are from 3,20 € to 6,50 €, and 16,80 € for his Trockenbeerenauslese.
