Tiberias is a sleepy little town in the Galilee but it has good transportation. We're connected with the national bus service EGGED, and they have a very good website in English that will show you the times and places the buses go to. In and around Tiberias things get tricky. The inner city buses is run by another company named Connex and they do a good job too but unfortunately the kids have also done a fine job ripping out all of the route maps for the different lines so if you don't speak Hebrew it is most difficult to use them. The same goes for the frequent sheruts [service taxis] that follow the bus lines for a slightly lesser fee. So if you're intending to use the public transportation system here just beware that it is not as user friendly as it is in the major cities.
