Our apartment building in Rue Marie Stuart
by AussieDeb

We used Absoluliving, a company we found on the internet, to rent a little self-catered studio apartment right in the heart of Paris. They specialise in the gay market, but don't let that hold you back as they will hire to all persuasions and have some great properties on their books.

Ours was near Les Halles and Le Marais, just off Rue Montorgeuil with its fabulous street market (food). It's in one of Paris' pedestrian neighbourhoods which made it nice and quiet. Next time I would spend a little more and get a slightly bigger place, but the location was fabulous and within walking distance of countless landmarks and fascinating places as well as being handy to the Metro.

Unique Qualities: Having our own little kitchen meant we could shop at the local supermarket, cook up our own tinned cassoulet and pretend we were living in Paris rather than just visiting. A bonus was being able to walk to the Absoluliving office and use their computers to send emails home at no charge.

The apartment cost us about $2000 Australian for a fortnight; you'll have to convert that yourselves or just visit their website. I would definitely use these guys again.
