I hadn't wanted to have anything but Thai food on my holiday and our two friends had been suggesting Mexican food but we turned it down! In Beijing you cant get a lot of good Thai food so were getting as much as we could now! But then on the night that we finished our Advanced Diving course, Marcel, our instructor suggested a Mexican place called El Gringo. I suppose when you've been living on an island for so long where the majority of food is Thai style, you want a break from it now and then! Everyone seemed happy with the suggestion so off we went. There are I think 2 'El Gringo' restaurants on the island, but we went to the nearest one in Sairee Village. I had the burritos and they were really out of this world! Another thing we cant get a lot of in Beijing is good Mexican food so this was a real treat! Swish it down with a margherita or a bucket of Sangsom and you're on your way to a good night out!
