"Museu das Telecomunicacoes" Top 5 Page for this destination Rio de Janeiro Things to Do Tip by Willettsworld

Rio de Janeiro Things to Do: 1,160 reviews and 1,807 photos

This rather quirky and futuristic museum is located near the Museu da Republica in Flamengo. Its located on the 6th floor and you're presented with a headset and a remote control zapper which you point at the exhibits in order to obtain information on them. The exhibits include the history of the telephone, telegraph, TV, radio, telecommunications and the internet etc and their impact on Brazil. You can spend quite a bit of time in this small room but the information (displayed on TV screens) is very informative.

Open: Tues-Sun 11am-5pm. Admission: Free.

Address: Rua Dois De Dezembro, 63.
