"Don't Go to Kokussnuss - it's expensive, not worth" Coron Tourist Trap Tip by Coronstinks

Coron Tourist Traps: 1 reviews and 0 photos

When we visit Coron we stay in Kokusnuss. Since we are on a budget travel we try as much as possible not to overspend. On our first day we ask Lizel from kokoss our possible itinerary for the day and she recommend the Island tour of Coron. She told us that it is 700 per person. We do not enjoy the trip and the corals in Coron are already destroyed due to illegal fishing before. And the only fascinating about Coron is the Kayangan lake. which is not that beautiful plus everywhere you go you have to pay either 200 or 100 pesos. The worst part is that we discover that the trip should only cost 1800 to 2500 but we pay 6300+ for the whole trip. And it is just a half day tour. Kokusnuss will not entertain you if they will not profit form your stay there.

Unique Suggestions: To save from the abuse and greed of Kokossnuss. You can check to different lodge in the town of Coron which is cheaper. If you will rent a boat for island hopping tour you should ask the boat association just before you enter the boats port in the left side. They have the list of the fix price for different island tour. Tricycle is the mode of transportation the minimum fare is only 7 pesos. If the locals know that you are a tourist they will ask for 50 pesos. Don't be fooled. If you will plan to go to Calauit Wildlife reserve it cost from 2500 to 5000 . If you want a nice a peaceful vacation I will not recommend Coron. You could go to Bohol or other place which is cheaper and much better than Coron.

Fun Alternatives: I recommend Bohol since the people are friendly and the place is nice. Not like Coron which they are fooling the tourist just to have a few peso.
