The Path of Remembrance was created in 1988 and is the route from the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes and the Umschlagplatz Monument. It consists of 16 simple black granite stones and commemorates the 450,000 Warsaw Jews who were murdered and the heroes of the 1943 uprising. The stones are engraved with the names of people who were active in the ghetto and events. The route cuts a path through what was part of the Jew Ghetto in Warsaw and at the start of WW2 contained one of the largest Jewish communities in the world.

Directions: On the route between the Monument to the Ghetto Hereos and the Umschlagplatz Monument.
