The Juanda International Airport is located about 18km from downtown Surabaya... The travelling time to Central Surabaya is about 45mins or more depending on traffic condition... For an international airport, I would say that the access road from Surabaya is both narrow and crowded... There is also an infrequent Airport Bus service to the main Bungurasih bus terminal in southern Surabaya...
The airport taxi is the best option to take to the city... There is a city booth at the exit of the arrival lounge where taxi coupon can be purchased... The fare to Central Surabaya is IDR70,000...
Upon departure, the airport tax is IDR100,000 payable before you pass through immigration at the departure lounge...
