South of San Salvador on the Pacific coast is an area called the Costa del Sol. We arrived on a Sunday night and stayed for two days at the Pacific Paradise Hotel. The rooms of the 100 room hotel are clean and airconditioned. Although it was June and the rainy season it was still 85F and sunny. The room charge was $40/person/night (off season) and included breakfast, lunch and dinner and a drink at each meal. We had Steak and Lobster both nights, fresh grilled Corvina at lunch served poolside and great breakfasts. The grounds are covered with coconut palms and the beach is awesome. We got up at 5am and swim in the surf both mornings.
