This theatre is separate from the RSC site. It is relatively new (opened in 2006), has 1,000 seats and has proved very popular with theatre goers!

This temporary theatre allows The Royal Shakespeare Company to continue their performances whilst the Royal Shakespeare Theatre is undergoing its transformation!

Some of the current theatre productions here are (2007 into 2008):

~ The Seagull, 16 May, 7pm
~ King Lear, 29 May, 2 June, 7pm
~ Twelfth Night, 3 October, 7.30pm
~ Richard II, 13 & 27 November, 7.30pm
~ Henry IV Part I, 22 November, 7.30pm
~ Henry V, 8 December, 1.30pm
~ Henry IV Part II, 28 February, 7.30pm

with a special feature on all Henry VI Parts on:
~ Henry VI Part I, 1 March, 10.30am
~ Henry VI Part II, 1 March, 3pm
~ Henry VI Part III, 1 March, 7.30pm

One good thing re this newer theatre building, when compared to the older Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Swan Theatre buildings, is that it has a lift to the Circle level, catering well for wheelchair users! :)

As soon as the renovations are complete with the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, then this theatre will literally be dismantled and The Other Place Theatre will resume as normal.
