Besides the attraction, Cape Coast is just a nice town to walk around in. There are some old, colonial buildings that still are used. They are hidden under a think layer of rubbish, commercial signs and paint, but when you pay attention, you can still see some of its old glory.

There are some old churches in the centre too, of which some of them are situated wonderfully on top of small hills, which makes them really stand out. And then there is a bridge with a famous name: "London Bridge". It sounds exciting, but when you get there, it is absolutely nothing special. Just some painted concrete that goes over a narrow stream that crosses the centre.

Nice spots to go to in the centre: Chapel Square, Coronation Road, Aboom Road and of course the two forts, Victoria and William.
