"The Cannery" The Cannary - Del Monte Square Tip by Muya

  The Cannery
by Muya

To end our virtual visit along the Bay, a word on The Cannery.

As the name says, the place is a former fruit and vegetables cannery that was build in 1907. It once used to be the largest peach cannery in the world (Del Monte). Far from its booming activities, the huge red-brick warehouse has now been turned into a marketplace with restaurants and shops.
Being on the Bay, we decided to have a short look at it and finally found it a nice place to stop and have a break. (see my restaurant tip)

It is worth having a look if you are nearby and have time, but don't skip something else instead...
