Riga is at its best on spring-summer-autumn season as it's located so north that it also has a snowy northern winter.

Riga's old town is pictoresque; narrow streets with nicely painted bright houses; often in pastel colours. The buildings have interesting details for those who are interested in. I enjoyed -even if in wintertime- the overall colourful view and the structure of the old town.

I am sure that during summertime the old town square is full of cafes and restaurants and pubs and patios/terracces to sit and watch people go by and enjoy the sun.
