Taberna La Canchánchara bar.: "Traditional drinks in a latin ambience." Trinidad Restaurant Tip by wandabendik

A few musicians assembled, asked my request which of course would be the most requested song in Cuba, Guantanamera, sang and played beautifully the trio brought tears to my eyes. The bar is mostly just a little open-air courtyard bar in an atmospheric colonial house, a good place to kick back in old wooden chairs and have a mojito or the eponymous house drink, made with aguardiente, lime, and honey.

This is one of the most famous bars in Cuba. The name comes from a traditional drink you get there (bebida de los mambises) made out of honey and liquor. It´s rustic leather armchairs are always occupied with people that most of the time enter like troops, off the tour buses.

Tried the bebida de los mambises, which was very nice, warms up your throat and chest.Just what the docter ordered.

Also for the tourists, a professional Cigar roller, these can be purchased here.
"They are very good" I heard someone say, they can be tried for free.

Favorite Dish: No food is served here.
