At Custom House Quay lies the replica of the ship of Jeanie Johnston. Jeanie Johnston was a 3-masted barque that between 1848 - 1855 took over 2500 emigrants to the New World to escape the famine.
The replica was built for the 150 anniversary of the famine and to celebrate the historical links between North America and Ireland. It is 37.5m (47m) long
