Make the best out of your short stay in Sancti Spiritus, so don't stay in one of the inconveniently located large hotels on the outskirts of town, but absorbe the local life in the old part of Sancti Spiritus. For this Hostal del Rijo is the right place to stay. This was one of our best state hotels in Cuba.

This 3-star hotel is housed in a lovely colonial mansion that belonged to Dr Rijo back in 1818. The staff speaks English and is very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is built around a lovely patio with a fountain, where breakfast is served. Breakfast was simple, nothing special.
There's also a small bar that opens onto the plaza.

You can park your car in front of the hotel. There is a guard 24h a day.

Unique Qualities: The rooms are huge with high ceilings. The rooms looking out onto the square have balconies with views of the Iglesia Parroquial Mayor.
