"citylink bus from Glasgow" Edinburgh Transportation Tip by sparkieplug24

Edinburgh Transportation: 212 reviews and 200 photos

From Glasgow one way of getting to Edinburgh is by bus you can buy a standard return as long as you use the return within one month of outward journey. It takes 1 hour and 15 mins a little longer than the train but a lot cheaper and there is a bus every 15 mins. You can get cheaper tickets if you book in advance online or at travel centres throughout scotland. Best place to get the bus is at bus station in buchanan street.

Super Single fare £5.20
Apex return £4.41 (must be purchased minimum 2 days in advance of journey)
Standard return £6.30

Free travel for over 60's and Disabled people who have the Scottish Entitlement card is available on all travel throughout Scotland by city link bus. As far as I am aware none of the city link buses travelling between Glasgow and Edinburgh are wheelchair of pram friendly.
Child dicounts are available on all fares and under 5's travel free although it is recommended that children under 5 use a car seat and all children are asked to wear the seat belts provided
