  Market in Bangkok
by sabrina_florida

I didn't consider shopping in Thailand really spectacular, as these days I can get everything I saw in the markets at home. I guess 10 years ago it would have been a paradise to me, though. What I didn't like is that everything is factory-made, you won't find any sort of handcraft. Still, it's really worth getting lost in them as you can get good deals.
Bargaining is part of the experience, and it goes like this: you ask for the price, the seller will show you the price on a calculator screen and will hand it to you to type a lower price. After the second week you get a bit tired of this ritual every single time you want to buy something, but it's the way they do it there and it helps your wallet! :)
