The Penny Arcade: "TPA... The Penny Arcade... place to be" Charlotte Nightlife Tip by davecallahan
Charlotte Nightlife: 2 reviews and 4 photos
Live Bands every night (three or more nightly), since the 1970's.
Mostly local talent but with a few headliners thrown in to keep people coming back.
The venue has changed over the years: started as a place to do what is now known as karaoke and local wanna-bes; then there was a period of family oriented bands; now it is kickin' groups for the early twenties crowd.
They have a forty-foot bar (so get your I.D. handy 'cause they WILL check). Great stage and lighting and sound system (where are my ear plugs?). They have large monitors so you can see everthing from anywhere in the place.
Dress Code: Go casual.... no ties allowed!
Address: 4785 Lake Avenue
Directions: get to Route 104 (Ridge Road) and go to the intersection of Lake Avenue, then head north for 10 minutes until you hit Lake Ontario..... now back up 100 feet and there you are
Theme: Live Music
