The Horniman at Hays is a large pub located by the River Thames, between London Bridge and Tower Bridge. It is part of a refurbished wharf called Hays Galleria, and is a popular place for tourists thanks to its prime position by the river.

The pub is spread out over a couple of levels. It happily has two non-smoking areas - the upstairs mezzanine area and the downstairs Wharfside Cellar bar. There is also a large terrace area outside by the river, which appeared to be heated.

There is a small food menu, serving mainly traditional 'pub-style' food - I didn't eat there, but the desserts did sound tasty ; )

One lovely winters evening a small group of VT'ers were checking out the 'Switched On London' illuminations happening in the area, and we popped into the Horniman at Hays for a mid-walk drink. Service was a bit slow, but it was nice and cosy inside and not too crowded.

Dress Code: Well, they served a scraggly group of VT'ers, so I guess they'll serve anyone!
