Schlossberg is a little mountain in the middle of the historic centre of Graz. On top of it stands the "Uhrturm", which is the landmark of Graz. In previous times there was a castle on the Schlossberg, which was later destroyed by Napoleon. There are several options how to go up the Schlossberg. You could either walk, which is only reccomendable for the athletic ones, or take the lift. The one way ticket costs 60 cents for adults. OR there is a train going up the Schlossberg, called "Schlossbergbahn". For kids: there is the "Märchengrottenbahn", a little train going through the Schlossberg gallery, passing scenes of fairy tales. A ride costs about 3 EUR. From the Schlossberg you can enjoy a very nice view over Graz, relax on one of the numerous benches or drink a coffee in the Aiola café.

Directions: Take one of the many paths around the castle, or take the lift or steps from Schlossbergplatz, or the Schlossbergbahn from further on up the riverside.
