A View Of The Bosphorus From Kanlica
by H-TownJourneyman

Kanlica is a quaint neighborhood situated on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. It's name is thought to have come from the wooden "kagni" carts that the residents here made & used around the time the Turks took control of Istanbul. Nowadays, Kanlica is well-known for the yogurt that many of the cafes and restaurants serve here. Powdered sugar is commonly added to the yogurt, which makes it a delicious, and very sweet snack to have while in the area. Along with stopping for yogurt, you can also wander around and take a look at the many charming, old-fashioned houses, or just relax and take in the great views of the Bosphorus. It is an easy drive north along the main coastal road once across the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, and there are ferries that stop there as well.

Directions: Located along the Bosphorus, on the Asian side, just north of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge
