"Sleeping Arrangements" Top 5 Page for this destination Fremantle Prison Tip by keeweechic

Fremantle Prison, Fremantle: 50 reviews and 96 photos

Sleeping quarters for the crew was absolutely minimal space. Two levels usually lined a wall with the top bunk having a curved roof over it. That meant, turning on ones side would be just about impossible. The mattress when I felt it was solid with what felt like springs hitting the thin fabric cover. These guys would rotate their beds with other crew going on and off duty. I doubt these mattresses were much longer than about 5 ft. Even the Captains bunk only had the benefit of not having another one overhead.
