"Beggars" Beggars Tip by mattalthor

Beggars, Prague: 5 reviews and 3 photos

Loads of beggars. Most walk the back streets, searching bins. Some prostrate themselves on the ground silently, face down, hoping for money.

We had an instance whee we were looking at our map and an elderly chap came and asked where we we going. We said the bridge, so he pointed the road to follow. He then demanded money - whereas I told him where to go, my friend gave him money as the chap was starting to look intimidating.

Basically, dont talk to beggars, dont even make eye contact. If they approach you, tell them to go away very loudly.
