Nida Things to Do: 32 reviews and 81 photos
Nida is home to some of the highest sand dunes in Europe. The most famous of them is probably the 52 m high Parnidis dune (Parndzio kopa).
From the top of the dune the Baltic Sea, the Curonian lagoon and the Russian excalve Kaliningrad can be seen. Unfortunately, the dunes are threatened by drifting sands and an increasing number of tourists. In the last 30 years the Parnidis dune lost about 10 m in height.
The Parnidis dune is situated at the southern end of Nida. There are some wooden steps leading to the top of the dune.
