"Dingy..." Izmailovo Complex Gamma-Delta Moscow Tip by amansfield

Izmailovo Complex Gamma-Delta Moscow, Moscow: 1,714 reviews and 11 photos

We stayed here for 5 nights in Dec 06. It is an enormous hotel as it originally was the accom for the athletes competing at the 1980 Olympic Games. It is used by lots of tour groups because of its size but also has lots of locals who are holidaying or working in Moscow. I'll start with the good bits: location - near a train station and the markets, facilities - 24hr internet, post office, lots of little shop etc. Terrible bits - we had unrenovated rooms that were awful!! The bathroom (esp the toilet) was horrendous, the two single beds were tiny - my husband hung of the sides and the two chairs were mouldy! There is a prostitution ring running out of the lobby - you will easily pick the madams and the postitutes sitting the lobby. I would only recommend the Turkish restaurant to eat in - we tried two others inclusing the Golf cafe and wouldn't go back.
