"Yasaka Koshindo Temple" Yasaka Koshindo Temple Tip by yukisanto

Yasaka Koshindo Temple, Kyoto: 1 reviews and 1 photos

Hanging outside the small shrine were strings of stuffed balls, and inside the temple were the balls with words written on them. These items were supposed to be monkeys and are intended to help you eliminate your bad desire. In order to have a wish granted by the monkey, you write the desire you wish to eliminate on the monkey ball and hang it in the shrine. Sort of like if I sacrifice something, I get my wish granted.

Directions: The yasaka koshindo temple is along the way to Kiyomizu temple. Don't have specific directions, we wandered around and saw it.
