One of the famous activities in Japan, including Tokyo, is witnessing the blooming of the cherry blossom flowers (sakura in Japanese) during spring time. This occurs in Tokyo usually between late March to early April every year. The window of opportunity is very small and timing is therefore very important. Best place in Tokyo to see this is in the famous Ueno Park (see my tip on Ueno Park).
