  Almost at the top!

This is the most difficult trail because it is a lot of climbing up a steep incline. It is only 0.2 of a mile though so that is not bad. Most people do this in combination with the Castle trail/Medicine Root trail (which form a loop) and then exit using the Saddle Pass trail again (esp. if you parked there). It is a fun climb and views once you get to the top are impressive.

Bring adequate water - this is a desert and it is not called the Badlands for nothing!!

Directions: West of the visitor center on Badlands Loop Rd.

Review Helpfulness: 3.5 out of 5 stars
