"Beit Jann" Israel Things to Do Tip by Nathalie_B

Israel Things to Do: 781 reviews and 1,392 photos

Here is some different city-attraction. Beit Jann is the biggest Druze settlement in Israel. It sits on the Meron mountain, overlooking beautiful parts of Northern Israel. It has its typical chaotic building style, where streets are hardly marked, roads are steep, narrow, and always packed with cars.
The population of this village is over 10,000 people and all of them share one religion - Druze. These are probably the most peacefull people in the whole country, who remain loyal to the land they live on. Visiting Beit Jann you can learn a lot about its inhabitants' traditions and beliefs. You'll be welcomed no matter who you are and where you come from. And even if you don't speak the same language you'll still be able to communicate with these incredibly friendly people. There are several guest houses in the village that provide great hospitality and make guests feel at home. And if you already made it that far, don't miss the opportunity to taste some local dishes.
