Polvo's: "Interior Mexican Food" Polvos Mexican Restaurant Tip by tee0206

Polvos Mexican Restaurant, Austin: 1 reviews and 0 photos

I'd heard good things about this place, but I was disappointed. Some of the food was pretty good, but some of it was bad. The services was also horrible. I had ordered a quesadilla, which was pretty good. I thought the tortilla was good. However, my friend ordered ceviche, and it was horrid. We told a server, who simply told us that it's their recipe and most people love it. He didn't offer to help us out any further. Instead, we heard him tell another server that my friend didn't like the food. Anyway, on the plus side, Polvo's has a salsa bar with all-you-can-eat salsa. It's good salsa. On the negative side, this place is loud. It's not conducive for dinner conversation. It's a popular restaurant that's pretty crowded. They also play loud music. Unless you're into noise, this isn't the best place to eat. The decor is interesting. The decorations are consistently inconsistent. Basically, nothing matches.
