Parkview Centre is one of Singapore new high rises standing at 144 metres high and easily noticeable from the Little India/Arab Street areas rising high above the shophouses and lowrises. Mostly a business centre with the United Arab Emirates and Austrian Embassies being housed there it is more of interest for the mix of architecture which has been used. The exterior is made up of brown granite which incorporates lacquer and glass as well as hand crafted gargoyles. Inside, Art Deco is mainly featured and there are many bronzed effigies of important historical folks like Albert Einstein and Winston Churchill. Quite unique is the lobby bar which has a three storey high wine chiller and the plaza which has been likened to Venice?s Piazza San Marco.
