Birdwatchers and nature lovers, get ready to enter one of the most fascinating man made preserves in Israel. Nature didn't create this place, people did, and birds and animals seem to enjoy it living in harmony with curious visitors. By its name you can guess the location, Agmon ha'Hula is located in the Hula Valley, where you can easily get following the road 90.
Fall and WInter are the best time to visit the park and there are many ways to explore it. You can rent a bike, a small car that looks like a golf cart, or to explore it taking a guided tour while sitting in a theatre-like carriage drugged around the fields by a tractor.
While exploring the area you'll get the chance to see different types of birds, some animals, and get the breathtaking view on the Hermon mountain, when adds even more to the picture when its covered with snow.
If you're a silence lover then bring your hear plugs, 'because the noise of thousands of Common Cranes will interrupt your peace by flying above your head and screaming on top of their birdy lungs! Occasionally, you'll see a "wet rat" getting out of the water searching for food, this is the permanent visitor of the park - nutria. And if you're lucky and it's the right season you'll attention will be caught by beautiful white pelicans.
Agmon ha'Hula offers some long and short routes, all marked along the way. And it is wheelchair accessible to most of its parts!
Prices range depend on the type of your tour, but the rates are reasonable for what you get.
You can spend the whole day enjoying the park and if the day time didn't satisfy you enough you can always arrange a tour with the sunrise, another woderful experience. All you have to do is arrange it wiht the park authorities in advance by dialing 1-800-350-550.
