"Counting your footsteps" Walking Tip by aaronl94

Walking, Paris: 261 reviews and 509 photos

I highly recommend walking as your mode of transportation when visiting Paris. We had driven to Paris from Germany and decided to park our vehicle in the Hotel parkinbg garage for the duration of our stay. We were pleasantly suprised at how easy it was to maneuver around the city and the major attractions. From the Eiffel Tower to the Arc de Triumphe, down the Champs Elysee and to Moulon Rouge and then back to Notre Dame all on foot. Yes we were a bit tired, but we experienced the city by way of foot, stopping at local shops for snacks along the way. If you must then grab a local taxi back to your Hotel, but beware of leaving your camera in the taxi. My good friend Robert did this, so the next morning we went to all the sites again to take pictures. Not as full of effect as during the evening, but still a great time.
