The Mayans had it right, these ruins are located on a high bluff over the Caribbean Sea just outside the town of Tulum, Mexico. Stunning vistas of aquamarine waters and white sand beaches are the backdrop to these ruins dating back 1000 years. Bring a hat because there is very little shade and it gets HOT from May until Sept.

Address: Tulum, Mexico
Directions: half hour from the Hamlet of Tulum.
