"The Lake" Bellegarde-sur-Valserine Things to Do Tip by ghettosteph

Bellegarde borders both the Rhone, and the Valserine lakes, and you can walk along both of them. The Rhone offers more opportunities for boating, and there are benches to sit and enjoy the view, as well as a playground for children. The Valserine is more for hikers, and has a hiking trail running through the forest which can take 3 or 4 hours to hike entirely.

Address: Downtown, or just off the highway
Directions: To the Rhone, take rue Paul Painleve towards Geneva, and turn right onto the walking path along the river side. It's impossible to miss.
To the Valserine, take rue Paul Painleve towrds Lyon. Pass one roundabout, and it's about 100 down, and on your right.
