On a second day in Bagan you can easily rent a horse cart and visit the temples lying south Old Bagan: Gaw-Daw Palin , Mingalazedi, Gubyaukgyi, Myinkaba, Manuha, Nanapaya, Abeyadana, Nagayon, Seinnyet Nyima & Ama, ending in Lawkananda by the river shores in New Bagan. Then you can make a nice stop in the heat of the day at Green Elephant Restaurant for a short lunch and then continue back near to Old Bagan to see Thatpyinhyu, Dhammayangyi and end up for a glorious sunset in Shwesandaw pagoda. Note that in December sun sets at 5-5:30 so you have to hurry if you want to be there on time!!Distance is not big and using a horse cart is an enjoyable way to move around.
