"New Masters Gallery." Albertinum Tip by richiecdisc
Albertinum, Dresden: 12 reviews and 19 photos
Unfortunately this renowned collection of new masters is currently closed for renovations but some of the works are on display at the Zwinger's Old Master's Gallery. It's been closed since 2006 so hopefully it will re-open soon. When it does be ready for over 2500 works by new masters of the 19th and 20th century leaning heavily on Romantic Period German painters. It is considered one of the most important collections in Germany. Aside from its world renowned collection of 19th and 20th century paintings, its 'Green Vault' is home to one of the finest collections of jewel-studded objects in the world. Part of the museum pass when open though it does not include the Green Vault or other special exhibitions. The pass is 12 Euros for the day for one or 25 Euros for a family pass.
