This is clearly not the kind of accommodation if you are on a budget. But perhaps just for a night or two if you need a touch of luxury after a rough time, or as a honeymoon haven or a little longer if you have won lotto... ;-)

The Lakeside Apartments in Wanaka are expensive but perfect and serviced daily. You reside in perfectly furnished huuuuuuge apartments with one to three bedrooms, and already right from your bed you have a splendid view of Lake Wanaka and the mountains of Mt. Aspiring National Park. This is the right inspiration to start the day.

We had two biiig bathrooms for the two of us, one with a spa bath, a big bedroom, a big lounge and a superb fully equipped designer kitchen with dishwasher, as well as our private laundry with washing machine and dryer, Sky TV and DVD player, and a full-width balcony with sun loungers, table and chairs to have breakfast or dinner outside.

In the courtyard is a swimming pool where you can relax, and just across the street is the lakefront.

Just perfectly luxurious - and the rates (valid until June 2008) match this impression:

one-bedroom apartment from NZ$295 (superior) to 595 (penthouse).
Also two- and three-bedroom apartments available (the more rooms you take and the more people you travel with the cheaper it gets per head... LOL)

Unique Qualities: spacious and to the highest standard plus great views
