A few kilometers from Valencia ( aprox. 40 ), in the province of Castellon, there is a town called Vall de Uxo. This place is well known for quite some things amongst which are the Caves of Sant Josep with an underground river going through part of the caves that are open to the public. The ride costs about 7 Euros per person and takes about 45 minutes including a small walking path inside the caves. They are just unique and worth visiting. The whole trip might take you half a day from Valencia. There are public transport buses leaving from the Estación de autobese in Valencia ( just next to nuevo centro ) apart from hiring a car, which would probably be the best option as it would allow you to drive around nearby towns and the fantastic coastline that his part of the country has to offer.
