Manzanola Shopping: 1 reviews and 4 photos
If you are passing through Manzanola on highway 50 and you need groceries or gasoline you can stop at Bauserman's Market. You will find all the essentials for cooking at home or on the road. They also have gasoline at the east side of the market.
The owner has a farm just at the side of the market and his son also grows vegetable plants in a green house nearby. In the Spring you would be able to buy plants to take home and plant in your garden.
Bauserman's is a major source in finding perfectly ripe canteloupe and watermelon in the late summer. These canteloupe are the famous Rocky Ford Canteloupe.
You will also be able to find items made locally like honey, salsa, chili powder, jams and ciders made from local fruit. They also have a good selection of Mexican products and large bags of pinto beans,.
What to buy: When I am there I always pick up a supply of sopapilla mix and chili powder.
People who live in Manzanola buy drinking water here as the city water was found to have Radium. It is rumored that the people glow in the dark from showering in the city water. But I have never seen this effect. :-)
What to pay: Prices are about the same as a large grocery store.
Gasoline prices are sometimes lower.
Address: East of the town
Directions: Drive through town going east, and just as you leave the town of Manzanola you will see Bauserman's on the right side of the road.
