"Abergavenny & the Black Mountains" Wales Off The Beaten Path Tip by barryg23
Wales Off The Beaten Path: 69 reviews and 117 photos
Abergavenny is a small town at the south-eastern tip of the Brecon Beacond National Park. It's an elegant town with an old Norman Castle and it a useful location for visiting the Brecon Beacons, in particular the three peaks of the Black nearby Mountains. Sugar Loaf, Blorenge and Skirrid are the three peaks in question and all are accessible as half day-trips from Abergavenny.
