"Don't Miss the John XXIII Square Behind the Apse" Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris Tip by hquittner
Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, Paris: 651 reviews and 1,332 photos
From the Square one can see the East (Absidial) End of the church and the spectacular flying buttresses and other protrusions (pinnacles, gargoyles, gables). It is a restful place with rows of carefully tended chestnut trees (in bloom in April in this picture). The central spire of the church can also be studied with its bronze statues at its base. Do not miss this short walk!
