"A themed hotel worse than any hostel" Hotel de Nesle Tip by john&eduarda

Hotel de Nesle, Paris: 373 reviews and 5 photos

We had a disasterous stay at this 'hotel'. The hotel was terrible - a disgrace, and its more embarassing that I learnt of the hotel from good reviews on the internet. It's a themed hotel in Montparnasse. Avoid. Ignore ridiculous reviews from first-time tourists to Paris that elevate it to such a high rank. The name is the Hotel Nesle. It was not much better than a hostel, the room was freezing cold, no proper heating, with a blanket that resembled a sheet. There was no television and no toilet. The toilet for our floor of the hotel was located on a plateau above the stairs, requiring Indiana Jones-esque technique to arrive. There was no breakfast, no place in the foyer to relax, indeed no foyer whatsoever, and what is worse, the 'reception area' was guarded by a dog that resembled a wolf. The lady of the hotel was extremely rude to us, making jokes about my wife's french (her french is fluent) and she made jokes about us, where we were from, etc. derogatory remarks that would offend anybody.

The next morning we complained about the room, said it was freezing and walked out - leaving ourselves with our pride intact.
